New LAVAS scheduling software makes the shipping process fit for the future

LAVAS scheduling software automates more of the shipping process. Different applications will be integrated into the new platform, ensuring greater reliability and transparency in internal processes and collaborations with service providers and customers. As an important measure of subproject 6.1 of the RISE (Ramp-up Ilsenburg Service Excellence) service excellence program, its implementation significantly contributes to ensuring optimal delivery performance.

Developed by ILS Industrie-Logistik-Service GmbH, a subsidiary of our logistics partner Preymesser, the LAVAS software ensures transparency across processes and inventories. Processes that were previously handled in various individual applications are now partially automated with the new platform, ensuring optimal collaboration across the group.

LAVAS ensures efficient, highly digitized processes that take into account the logistical framework conditions of the respective service providers and offer a complex set of rules for customers' shipping requirements. Thanks to integrated processes via eService and EDI connections, our customers enjoy maximum transparency.

The software provides real-time stock overviews of Ilsenburger Grobblech, external warehouses, and the sister company, Salzgitter Flachstahl. LAVAS helps optimize shipping further with comprehensive evaluations and statistics.

VELOSA, a component of LAVAS and a logistics tool, has been in use since 2021, ensuring coordinated and flexible handling of truck transports.

This new scheduling software combines years of logistics experience and automation to create a reliable system that increases efficiency and transparency while offering optimized planning options. Group-wide standardization of logistics strengthens cooperation for the benefit of our customers. With LAVAS, we are one step closer to achieving our RISE targets regarding delivery performance and service quality, positioning ourselves for the future.
