As a high-performing manufacturer of steel plates, Ilsenburger Grobblech contributes extensive capacity and expertise. We provide the basis for tailor-made solutions, which are processed into high-quality road plates at Antwerpse Metalen N.V. 

Our contractual partner Antwerpse Metalen N.V. ensures the expert processing of steel plates at its own service center in Schoten, Belgium – including cutting, finishing, and customized services. The high-quality road plates are efficiently processed and delivered to the market in classic or CO₂-reduced versions, depending on customer requirements.

With physically CO₂-reduced heavy plates, we support our customers in the decarbonization of their value chains and contribute to achieving their sustainability goals. As a subsidiary of Salzgitter AG, Ilsenburger Grobblech GmbH will soon be sourcing CO₂-reduced slabs from the SALCOS® transformation program, which aims to ensure virtually CO₂-free steel production by around 2033. Decarbonized heavy plates are already available today from the electric arc furnace route made of scrap-based electric steel.
