High strength MAXIL® plates for heavy duty vehicles from Faymonville

Faymonville relies on high-strength MAXIL® S690QL and S960QL heavy plate from Ilsenburg for the production of its lowbed trailers. The special requirements of this globally active customer, based in Luxembourg, are high demands on the flatness of the plates and on time delivery.

The Faymonville Group is the leading full-range manufacturer of special vehicles for heavy load transport and special transport. In the production of these special vehicles, high tensile strength and comparatively low material weight are essential. With MAXIL®, our high-strength heavy plate, we meet these requirements at the highest quality level.

As a partner of the family-owned company, we supply high-strength MAXIL® plates in large tonnages for the beams and chassis of special vehicles. Faymonville pays particular attention to the flatness of the heavy plates and to just-in-time delivery. The desired product properties are guaranteed by the ultra-modern heat treatment line, which is linked to a flatness measuring system and a straightening machine. We have been producing high-strength heavy plate in Ilsenburg for more than 25 years, and with the new heat treatment line we can now achieve yield strengths of up to 1,300 megapascals," says Oliver Laubner, responsible for export sales, explaining the product properties of MAXIL® plates. We ensure demand-driven delivery by storing the quality plates at the forwarder's premises. They can be called off directly from there if required.

Faymonville relies on framework agreements with Ilsenburger Grobblech to guarantee material availability and minimise in-house processing costs. „The demands of the market and from the market are constantly challenging us. We are happy to meet them to respond to our customers' needs. It is important to have strong partners at our side who are also enthusiastic about meeting these demands in order to grow and succeed together,' says Ronny Kralack, responsible for strategic purchasing at Faymonville, describing the cooperation with Ilsenburger Grobblech.
