Heavy Plate from Ilsenburg

We are a subsidiary of Salzgitter AG, which, with roughly 200 subsidiary and associated companies and 24,000 employees at around 100 international sites, makes us one of the leading steel technology groups in Europe. We are able to help our customers realize their visions thanks to our high quality products, a wide product range and a high degree of innovativeness and flexibility. We produce four-high plates for an extremely wide variety of applications with 800 employees at our production sites in Ilsenburg and Salzgitter.

From our site in the centre of Germany and Europe we supply annually approximately 800,000 tons of heavy plate in about 350 grades of steel to our customers all over the world. Through our close collaboration with various subsidiaries of the Salzgitter group, e.g. Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, Salzgitter Mannesmann Handel GmbH and Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung GmbH, we are in a position to be able to respond quickly and specifically to the individual wishes of our customers.

This and our principles relating to quality, occupational safety and environmental protection management, which have been developed further for the purpose of integrated management (IMS), make us one of the leading heavy plate manufacturers in Europe in terms of quality and the variety of applications.
