The Bertelsmann Pavilion for the Expo 2000 Trade Fair (Germany)

The Bertelsmann pavilion at the EXPO-Plaza in Hanover consists of two buildings: a right-angled block and an amorphous round body, i.e. planet m. This round building hovers on six pairs of supports at a height of 9 m above the EXPO-Plaza. It has a length of 46 m, a width of 36 m and a height of 24 m. Ilsenburger Grobblech GmbH provided approximately 500 to. of heavy plate for the fabrication of this sophisticated steel structure.

Hanover Polytechnic is having a Lower Saxony center for media, information and design built in the Bertelsmann pavilion by 2009.
